The Effective Intervention Strategies Using Data from the Qualitative Reading Inventory (QRI)-5 training will help teachers and literacy coaches learn how to administer the QRI-5 and how to use that data to plan for effective reading intervention.

Registration Deadlines
Registrations are accepted until the session is filled and must be accompanied by prepayment(credit card, check, or faxed purchase order). Submission of a registration form does not guarantee admission to the conference; please wait until your registration has been confirmed before making travel plans. Forty-five days prior to the event, a confirmation will be sent via email.

Confirmation
Your Confirmation of Attendance will be sent via email approximately 45 days prior to the event. We recommend that you purchase airline tickets after you receive the Confirmation of Attendance email. If you have not received a Confirmation of Attendance email 45 days prior to the event please call 800.348.4474 select option 2. Please do not make travel arrangements until you have received your Confirmation of Attendance email.

Cancellations/Transfers/Substitutions
Cancellations that occur 3 months or more before the start date of the institute will receive an 80% refund. Cancellation request received 1 to 3 months prior to start date will receive a 50% refund, and any cancellation made less than 1 month before event will not receive any refund. Individuals that do not cancel their reservation or registration prior to event will be invoiced and are responsible for the full registration fee.

All cancellation requests require a letter with signature to be sent via fax to 847-486-3195 Attn: Scheduling and Services. NOTE: In lieu of canceling your registration, you may designate a substitute to attend the same event in your place.

Transferring from one event to another will require a $200 transfer fee. Please contact Scheduling and Services at customercare@pearsonpd.com, or call 800-348-4474 option 2, from 8:00 am - 5:00 pm central time for cancellation, substitution, or transfer details.

JoAnne Schudt Caldwell is the co-author/author of seven titles including The Qualitative Reading Inventory-4 and Reading Problems: Assessment and Teaching Strategies both published by Allyn & Bacon. She received her Ph.D. in Educational Psychology form Marquette University and currently teaches Literacy and Language Development at Cardinal Stritch University. In 1996 she received the Outstanding Service Award form the Wisconsin Teacher of the Year Award in 1997 and the Achievement Award from Marquette University School of Education in 2005.

Lauren Leslie received her Ph.D. in Educational Psychology from the University of Iowa and is currently Emeritus Professor at Marquette University where she served as the director of the Hartman Literacy Center for many years. She has published over 25 research articles, and she is co-author of the Qualitative Reading Inventory-4. She is also the past recipient of the Albert J. Harris Award from International Reading Association (2001).
