Welcome New Jersey Science Teachers. Pearson is pleased to announce a new science program designed to meet the needs of teachers and students—Interactive Science ©2016. This edition of the marketing-leading K–5 science program is profoundly influenced by the next Generation Science Standards, and has been completely updated to focus on inquiry approaches and project‐based learning. It will fulfill the expectations of the New Jersey State Core Curriculum Standards.
Interactive Science meets the way teachers teach, and the way students learn today, while providing project-based and all-digital options for each stage of instruction. Transitional support for New Jersey educators eases the transition toward the expectations of the Next Generation Science Standards in both formal and informal ways. This helps ensure a change of practice that incorporates more hands-on, more depth of content, and more performance-based expectations. The core scope and sequence meets the Next Generation Science Standards grade level expectations with no extraneous content.
Interactive Science is based on the most meaningful research and best practices from academic research and from some of the most highly regarded experts in science education. What results is a program rooted in sound learning approaches, teaching strategies, and ideas to engage all learners, to maximize their learning, so that they can apply their thinking.
Support for the science standards can be found throughout the program in the Student Editions as well as the Teacher Resources. To find examples of these look into the correlation linked below.
