45-minute dedicated class period that complements or replaces your core California CCSS for ELA
Build students’ capacity for increasingly rigorous texts.
Each week students independently read a new high-interest Interactive Reader or print book. iLit matches your students’ reading level to a text with Lexile ranges from BR-2500+. This gives all students access to texts that will engage and motivate them. Grade-level iLit Anchor Texts focus your minilessons in a Reading and Writing Workshop. Self-selected reading provides student choice for independent reading time.
iLit is a digital-first intensive intervention program. But it includes an extensive library of print trade books, so teachers have the flexibility to match iLit to instructional blocks and classroom set up. Resources include student worksheets for minilessons, small groups, and homework.
