The SIOP® Model Professional Development

Administrators and coaches will learn how to use the SIOP^® protocol to gauge the level of implementation with the SIOP model. The goal of the training is for participants to calibrate their SIOP protocol ratings with a SIOP expert as a means of establishing acceptable levels of inter-rater reliability. Once inter-rater reliability is established participants can know with confidence that classroom observations collected with the SIOP protocol are valid and reliable.

Outcomes: By the end of the program participants will be able to:

• Become familiar with the SIOP^® Protocol observation process
• Apply understanding of the SIOP^® Protocol to observe and rate 6 classrooms
