techSteps™
techSteps is a technology literacy program for grades K-8. Built on the National Education Technology Standards for Students (NETS*S) and the work of the Partnership for 21st Century Skills, techSteps allows educators to plan, teach and report on student technology literacy in an integrated context. techSteps includes a district technology literacy framework; a sequential, project-based curriculum for K-8 technology literacy development; and authentic assessment and reporting tools. techSteps’ developmental scope and sequence framework covers Creativity and Innovation; Communication and Collaboration; Research and Information Fluency; Critical Thinking, Problem Solving and Decision Making; Digital Citizenship; and Technology Operations and Concepts.
