My Sidewalks for Levels A–E is a research-based intensive intervention program that provides daily instruction written specifically for Tier III students. Each 30- to 45-minute lesson facilitates sustained instruction of language, concepts, and comprehension skills and strategies. Student will benefit from increased time on task, teacher modeling, and links to social studies and science concepts. The program includes Student Readers, Teacher’s Guides, Practice Books, and more! My Sidewalks aligns to the unit themes of Reading Street but can also be used with any core reading program.
These boards have a write-on/wipe-off surface and writing lines for practicing letter forms, letter-sounds, spelling, and writing.
The Benchmark Readers can be used as alternative tools for assessment. Use the readers to determine a child’s placement in My Sidewalks, to measure fluency (WCPM) and comprehension (retelling), to assess mastery of phonics skills and high-frequency words using connected text, and to confirm readiness for starting a new unit. There is one Benchmark Reader for each unit in My Sidewalks.
