Balanced Assessment for the Mathematics Curriculum

This National Science Foundation supported collaboration offers educators a range of field-tested tasks—some paper-and-pencil, some with calculators, and some with manipulatives—to provide meaningful and informative classroom-based performance assessments to help guide instruction. Reproducible assessment tasks, descriptions of characteristic student responses, and examples of student work with accompanying assessment rubrics are included.
