Improve Instruction for English Language Learners
The ELL Instruction Academy helps teachers connect the SIOP model with proven instructional methods, curriculum development and assessment strategies to boost ELL student achievement.
Pearson's ELL Instruction Academy features three discrete 7-week courses that help teachers build a practical understanding of strategies proven to boost ELL achievement, including:
- The Sheltered Instruction Observation Protocol (SIOP) model
- Instructional methods and curriculum development
- Assessment of language and content knowledge
Each Professional Growth Academy course includes an Action Research Project that promotes the practical application of learning in participants' classrooms. The action research project is client specific to address current district needs and individual teacher responsibilities.
