sequenced approach to teaching music elements
and skills, and Units 7–12 provide theme-based instruction. Lesson activities provide comprehensive instruction for music elements, skills, and curriculum connections throughout all units; and all lessons are correlated to national standards. Elements, skills, and connections overviews at the beginning of each unit help in setting teaching goals and tracking students' success.
