Pearson Scott Foresman's innovative California History-Social Science program has won a 2007 Distinguished Achievement Award from the Association of Educational Publishers.
The award was given in the Curriculum Packages, Social Studies Instruction category for Grades K–5.
California History-Social Science is a standards-driven, interactive program written specifically for California. Three instructional paths—text, digital content, and activities—make this program come to life for the 50 percent of all K–5 students in California who are currently using it to learn history and social studies.
Celebrating its 40th anniversary this year, the Distinguished Achievement Awards recognize the best educational materials, such as books, periodicals, educational toys, and software within subject categories and by audience. The 2007 AEP Awards were presented June 12 at the 2007 Annual Award Banquet & Gala at the Renaissance Washington D.C. Hotel.
