This FULL-COLOR book is organized into five units and 36 short chapters that promote flexibility in instructional planning. This includes three-week, six week, nine-week, and 18-week blocks as well as a full academic year (36 weeks) of instruction. The focus is to introduce science-based agricultural concepts including natural resources and the environment. Each chapter begins with a motivational or high interest narrative. Objectives and terms covered in the chapter are listed. The content follows which covers the material to achieve the learner objectives. Each chapter conludes with a chapter summary, chapter review, evaluation, and learning activities. The book is well illustrated to enhance the material presented at the appropriate reading level. A hands-on activity is integrated into the content of each chapter.
